Blue and Green
The art machine
Spinning a mist
Soon to be seen

Purple nails
And long lashes
Walking across canvas
Leaving hot ashes

Abstraction adored
Painting colours galore
Wrapped in a passion
An artist unshored

Endless Night

That endless night
Sure to come
Counting of joys
And not of regrets
Did I do
All I could do
To make life a smile
And prepare for that time
In her coming years
Of joyful memories
Instead of tears
I will reach for her hand
From that endless night
And hope she can feel
As I hold on tight.

You set me free
To be that pretense
I have wanted to be

To fly over oceans
In planes that I own
To live in castles
To sit on a throne

You have given to me
Things only I see
For in the world of delusion
The real world cannot be

Snow falling slow
A white covering on my soul
A slowing of what must be
A blurring of what we must see
A chance to back away
From what we must say
And put off those musts
To some other day
A layering of white
Thickening overnight
Saying slow yourselves down
Things will be alright
