Go here
Or go there
For this
Or against that
Things I do
A difference make
A world changed
Or simply another rotation
Another frame in the film strip
This movie seen before
The Sun waiting patiently
For darkness to fade
And I plan my grand scheme
In a rush to nothing
Poem.....Suits and Ties
I judged a guy
With cardboard sign
Beside the road
Taking his time
Why can't he be
More like me
A banker's job
Nine to three
Pension fund
Straight ahead
He just sits there
Hanging his head
All it takes
Is little white lies
And of course
These suits and ties
Rabid Poet
Poem...... The Knowing
That road we choose
Past trees of green
Past rivers of blue
Past words well said
It will remain
After we move on
For those who sing
A different song
And stars glide past
With increasing speed
Our need for knowing
All inside a seed
Poem....Arranged Reality
Is it real?
Or something I feel
An interpretation
Or Ego's zeal
Layers of opinion
Arranged in familiar ways
To create this bouquet
Of personal plays
Is it the same?
As others can see
Or just my arrangings
My own reality
Poem....Paint it Black
Rolling Purple streaked with Red
Playful visions in my head
Dark shadows in my view
Streaks of White becoming few
Reality is just a game
Another truth for us to tame
To spin our interpretaion as true
And with a spray can paint it Blue
Or if that seems to be of lack
We can always paint it Black
Poem...Rush toward Uncertainty
We know love is near
Only a touch away
Only a glance and a smile
But there are things to do
There are places to go
Those things taken for granted
Assumed to always be there
While we amble in our distractions
Love takes flight
Like a darting butterfly
And we rush toward uncertainty

Those things I would like to do
Pushing beyond what I should do
What power do I have
That steel glove of restraint
Pushing a palm in my face
There are consequences to pay
For you to have you way
But that illusion of control
Is no match for my impulse
And I go my merry way
Addressing limitations another day

Stretching out in front
An endless vista called Time
Waiting for no one
Casting aside demands for more
You try to grasp it
To do more things
But no favorite does it play
Those prayers for one more day
The landscape littered
With those and their mighty plans
Stones with names
Their final achievement
And time ticks on

For hidden questions
That journey ill defined
Rocket man speeding outward
Thrusters belching white
Purple aura around the moon
Soon to be black space
Looking for the familiar
Never to be seen again
