Poem ... Spaceship Humanity
We twirl on this blue-green planet
Circling a magnificent Sun
Drilling holes in this thin mantel
On that black gold our engines run
Our exponential assertions
Pushed beyond what is real
Patting each other's backs
Expansion is our zeal
Don't like global warming?
Put some glitter in the air
Paint everything white
To show how much we care
Don't like flooded cities?
Vacate lower floors
Use boats instead of cars
Docking at the doors
We know we have solutions
Nothing for us to fear
We just keep on growing
Choosing what to hear
The engines of Spaceship Humanity
Know only one way
And this Blue-Green Planet
Says we cannot stay
