The Barrier

Poem ... The Barrier

Understanding male dominance
So hard as I try
Nor female timidity
As time rushes by

Excuses are many
And denial the norm
Where are we going
With this gathering storm

This wall we created
So long and so tall
Can't reach understanding
Without a precipitous fall

We created abstractions
Of corporate belief
Scripted by leaders
With goals of a thief

I poke a hole
In that barrier create
It closes quickly
And so does our fate

So I have accepted
That barrier wall
Growth and consumption
The fate of us all
