Move on Sweet Jesus

Current lyrics

Move on sweet Jesus
We have gone too far
Went lookin for that star
When right beneath our feet
Is your Holy treat
Move on Jesus

The path we choose
If we all lose
It's not for you
It's not for us a clue
That Holy road we seek
That road that only you can see
Your place is not here now
We can't know your how
Move on Jesus

And when this all ends
And when we seek amends
You tried to see us through
Our fall lies not with you
And when we all fall
And when we've had our all
You tried to see us through
Our fall lies not with you
Move on Jesus
Move on Jesus

Jesus move on
We have been too long
Traveling this road
Shouldering this load
Soiling our souls
Suffering our roles
Move on Jesus

The price that we pay
Forever if you stay
Is never finding home
And never having known
The seeds you've sown so well
The tree from which we fell
Move on Jesus

And when this all ends
And when we seek amends
Our fall lies not with you
Who tried to see us through
And when we all fall and when we've had our all
The fault lies not in you
Who tried to se us through
Move on Jesus
Move on Jesus

Move on sweet Jesus
We have gone too far

Old Mountain Walk

Poem...".Old Mountain Walk"

Walking down this old mountain road
Hoping it will loosen my load
How long will I be here
How long will it be here
Thinking of destruction we have sewed

Mountain tops slowly pass by
Cloud images fill the sky
Warning of things to come
Warning of the greedy some
I just keep walking with a sigh

Buttermilk Skies

"Buttermilk Skies"

Buttermilk skies
A sight for our eyes
Moving and mixing
A beautiful Sunrise

Dark chocolate skies
Stars  showing their eyes
Dreams close by
Puppies utter their cries

Earth keeps on turning
We keep on yearning
Somehow not noticing
Buttermilk skies churning

Launched Poem

"Launched Poem"

I launched a poem
Into the air
And it landed
I know not where

In the crowd
Or in the church
Or in a tree
Does it lurch

How many eons
Or to what place
With it's poetic wings
Drifting in space

Perhaps it's reading
By aliens not understood
But why should we care
We've long turned to wood

Tomorrow

Tomorrow

How far is Tomorrow
And how many Tomorrows will I see
If I awaken in Tomorrow
Today is where I will be

How many will I help
If Tomorrow should come
I could start now
Maybe Today to help some

But there are endless Tomorrows
Earth spinning in it's place
But there are limited breaths
And I will scatter into Space

Another Thingy

"Another Thingy"

By Cole (dog)

Found this thingy
On the road
It was flat
Coulda been a toad

Snatched it up
Chewed real fast
Nothing that good
Could get on past

Donna, my Momma
Was on her phone
This Thingy is good
Now Thingy is gone

On the Road

Doggy Poem by Cole

"On The Road"

It's on the road
I know it's there
Can't wait to lick
It has some hair

You walk so slow
I pull on the rope
Walk faster dummy
Still there is my hope

I smell it ahead
My tongue twirls round
Can't wait to lick
That thingy on the ground

I smell where it was
Some nerd beat me to it
You walk so Damned slow
You need four legs, two don't do it

WallStreet

Poem ...

Wall Street

Soon the skies
filled with suits and ties
Will end that made up glut
Of Wall Street lies

Sell the stock
Fool the flock
When they sell
Watch the clock

When bottomed out
Deliver that shout
Buy baby, buy
That's what it's about

Inside Trade
Got it made
The ruse keeps on
New money is weighed

End of the Circle

End of the Circle

End of the Circle
Song without a song
Fleeing from this moment
Never seeing I was wrong

Clock hand keeps on sweeping
Never stopping for my tears
Never finding the beginning
Ever marking my new fears

In my mind I travel
To far reaches of space
Only to find that
I never left this place

End of the circle
Song without a song
If only one could tell me
What I'm doing wrong

I look for new beginnings
Surely knowing they will end
Trying to leave an endless circle
With nothing else to send

End of the Circle
Song without a song
When is beginning soon
And when is very long

A Darkening Sky

A Darkening Sky

I cast my eye
On a darkening sky
One that must be passed through
With consumption we knew
Would not pass us by

The Quiet

Poem

The Quiet

Noise abounds
Commercials  scream
Robot calls flood
Our answering machine

Social groups shout
Racial inequalities bloom
We want what we want
From birth to the tomb

Behind all the noise
Joys of quietness loom
Away from TVs and smartphones
Away from the Room

It seeps into our mind
Like emptiness of space
The quietness of truth
Finding it's place

A new path we seek
Away from the crowd
The beauty of the quiet
Like drifting of a cloud

Buttermilk Skies

Poem....Buttermilk Skies

I move my eyes
Toward buttermilk skies
Away from clutter
Of made up lies

I seek a distance
From those in persistence
Charting self absorbed paths
Through least resistance

The song of a bird
Simply to be heard
Not seeking acclaim
Not spreading a word

So those buttermilk skies
Are there for our eyes
Containing simple truths
While ignoring our cries

The Painting

Purple and Red
Swirling in my head
Holding this paintbrush
New canvas to tread

Black splashes between
Abstraction to be seen
Reaching into my soul
Painting like a machine

Now hanging on the wall
Narrow and tall
It speaks as it can
Colour and all

Returning?

Poem...Returning?

Roulettes keep on spinning
Billionaires keep on winning
Circles within circles
Living high in the sky

Earth keeps on turning
Oceans keep on churning
Species saying their goodbye
As we keep on with our burning

It was a grand event
Several billion year extent
Producing a species
Claiming Heaven sent

There is a tearful goodbye
Heads raised to the sky
In warm air hard to breathe
Nothing left to try

The Galaxy keeps on turning
Suns keep on burning
Perhaps in some future time
Life will be returning

Sweet Potato Pie

Poem ... Sweet Potato Pie

Sweet potato pie
Sweet potato pie
Running through the yard
Jumping toward the sky

Putting my fork
Into this heavenly blend
Sweet potato pie
This joy you do send

Predictions

"Prediciions"

predictions fall
like snowflakes
on a cold mountain stream
and I
am none the wiser

Suits and Ties

Poem ... Suits and Ties

Suits and Ties
Hurt my eyes
As we reach
Toward the skies

Economies this
More growth that
Only thing missing
Is the hat

So where are we going
Suits and Ties in the lead
We have some clues
Watching the environment bleed

Can we stop
This Suit and Tie onslaught
Not very likely
Consequences not their fault

We Pretend

Poem...We Pretend

We pretend to know
What's in this show
But down deep
We're just like sheep

We buy their cars
And feel like stars
Highways to nowhere
And we don't care

The privileged know all
And make us feel tall
As we pretend on our way
Approaching that fateful day

The Candle

Poem

The Candle

My candle dims
The light gets low
Not much farther
Do I go

When first lit
It burned so bright
My energy flowed
Well into the night

My path was lit
Anything I could achieve
Not a thought occured
About when I would leave

The light now glows
Over memories past
And I cling to ones I love
Candle burning to it's last
