Dark Poem.....Lowly Ink
The chain on her ankle
Connected to old rock wall
A reminder of anger expressed
A symbol of brash words
Flung at his royalty
Beside a goblet of water
A container of porridge
Lies pen and parchment
For her beg for forgiveness
While awaiting her lashes
The Darkness creeps in
Throwing shadows on cobblestones
Would she hold head high
And wait her fate
Or find her future in lowly ink
